When preparing for my In Bloom Demos Galore presentation, I saw a card on the Stampin’ Up! website that I had to CASE (replicate). I can’t find the card on the website anymore, but this is what it looked like. SOOoo colorful and cheerful, right?! Thank you to the Stampin’ Up! creative artist who designed it!
Here are the details if you’d like to make it, too.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
- Mango Medley Cardstock
- 5-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
- Basic White Cardstock
- Two pieces that are 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- Scrap for die-cutting flower
- Melon Mambo Cardstock
- Scrap for die-cutting flower
Directions
- Stamp the flowers. Stamp the pink one first by stamping a fully inked flower. Turn the stamp and stamp it again without reinking to get the lighter pink color. Repeat these steps to stamp the purple flower. Then stamp the mango flower.
- Stamp sentiment onto scrap paper and cut around it carefully. Stamp sentiment onto the white piece with flowers. Then cover this sentiment with the cut out sentiment. Hold it still while stamping the five stems.
- Remove this mask. Then stamp the leaves.
- Add the die-cut flowers with Dimensionals.
- Add Artistry Blooms Self-Adhesive Sequins to the flower centers.
- Place a 1-1/4″ piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally under the sentiment between the first and fourth stems. Then add ribbon starting with a small loop on one end and then continuing to add more small loops to fill in the rest of the tape area.
- Put the other Basic White piece on the inside of the card and stamp more if you wish to finish it off.
Here are a couple more ways you could add the ribbon.
I made a bunch of these cards and actually messed up on some of the stamping. So that was why I added ribbons in other ways. Can you see the mistakes in these close up photos?
(A couple smudged ink areas and one that I forgot to mask before stamping stems.)
Want to make something quicker? For this one below I simply stamped images from the In Bloom Stamp Set onto a note card – no layers, no die-cuts. Notice I used the leaf image in the card above for a short stem in the card below.
COVID, Spring Break, recent news of my husband’s acoustic neuroma,…we REALLY needed to just get away. So we spent the last four days at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. We splurged and got a really nice room with a full kitchen, several rooms, and a view of Lake Delton.
We lucked out with great weather, too. So we really didn’t need coats. Not bad for the middle of March.
We enjoyed the wave pool, the lazy river, a few water slides, riding the shuttle busses, the Take Flight simulated ride, and dining in the room and outside of the room at various eateries and restaurants.
We also got special passes for my three guys so they could experience the Go Karts, Laser Tag, Arcades, Mini Golf, Bumper Boats, and the Ropes Course.
My husband gave up his Ropes Course part of the pass so I could do it instead, though. Yay! (Fun Fact…I was a high ropes instructor at Many Point Boy Scout Camp in the summer of 1990 when I was 21 years old. Because of that, I’m a little addicted to zip lines and challenge courses.)
Nick’s favorites: Hurricane Water Slide, Take Flight Simulated Ride, and Laser Tag.
Luke’s favorites: Take Flight, the Wave Pool, and Go Karts.
Tim’s favorites: Take Flight, Hurricane Water Slide, and the comfort of our awesome room.
My favorites of the weekend…Ropes Course, the hot tub in the room, and just focusing on being with my guys this weekend.
We really had a great time. Now we just lay low for awhile and pray that we all stay healthy.
