I love the Peaceful Poppies Suite. But there is one product in that suite that I hadn’t touched much until recently…the Peaceful Poppies Elements. These are basically a bunch of die-cut labels, banners, borders, poppies, and leaves that can give you a fun, quick, artistic accent to your paper crafting projects.

You get 8 sheets total…
* 2 sheets black die-cut elements with black foil prints: labels, banners, borders
* 2 sheets white thick coated cardstock die-cuts with colored prints: poppies
* 2 sheets vellum die-cuts with white printing: poppies and leaves
* 2 sheets watercolor paper die-cuts with clear embossed images for watercoloring: poppies and leaves

Some of my club members earned the Peaceful Poppies Elements as a product perk for their order. I would’ve just made one card design for you today, but I needed to send 30 cards and didn’t have enough elements of one kind to do just one design. So I made FOUR card designs to share with you today!

The top and bottom left cards (#1) are similar except for color. The top right (#2) is a fun fold card. And the bottom right (#3) was super quick to make.

Measurements…

• Bermuda Bay or Poppy Parade Cardstock
  • 4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
• Basic Black Cardstock
  • 4” x 5-1/4”
• Whisper White Cardstock
  • 4” x 5-1/4” for inside
  • 1-7/8″ x 5″
• Silver Glimmer Paper
  • 3/4” x 2”

Tips…

• When adding color to the watercolor paper flowers and leaves, first paint on a more diluted shade. Then bring in the darker colors to areas where you want the deeper tones. The wet paper will allow you to manipulate your darker color a bit more. Avoid getting too much water on the paper. Once dry, use a damp paper towel to remove any color sitting on the embossed outline. And go outside the lines!
• Cut the black borders in half. You only need half of one per card.

  • 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″
  • 2″ x 4-1/4″
  • 3″ x 4-1/4″
• Basic Black Cardstock
  • 2-1/8″ x 4-3/8″
• Silver Glimmer Paper
  • 8″

• Cut the black banners in half. You only need half of one per card. And sandwich it between the front white and black layers.
• Tie the ribbon around the front layered piece before attaching it to the card and before adding the narrow watercolored flower. Be sure to attach it by only placing Dimensionals behind the left half.

  • Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment circle
• Basic Black Cardstock
  • 4” x 1”
• Whisper White Cardstock
  • 4” x 5-1/4” (two)
• Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon
  • 5-1/2″

Tips…

• Stamp sentiment on scrap THEN punch.
• Punch the corner of the Basic Black strip, attach it to the embossed Whisper White layer 2 inches up from the bottom, then wrap ribbon around and adhere ends to the back
