Today I have four more versions to share. This first is SOOooo festive, because now I’ve added in the From My Heart Faceted Gems (attached with Fine Tip Glue) to those products I had used with the ones I shared on Monday!
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
I stamped and punched the heart. Then I added a folded strip of ribbon behind it, attached it off-center to the doily, and then added drops of Fine Tip Glue where I wanted the gems. It helped me to lay out the gems first. Then I pushed them aside as I replaced where they were with drops of glue. I then used the tacky end of my Take Your Pick tool to pick them up again and place them onto the dot of glue. (I didn’t add a link below to the candy I included, because it was from our local store. But it was cherry flavored, heart shaped gum drops if that helps.)
I added in one more additional (but oh so wonderful) product for the rest of these…the From my Heart Designer Paper!
As you can see in this photo, this paper has a LOT of fun patterns. AND a few designs have the full hearts you can just punch out with either or both punches!
For my sentiment strip, I stamped on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that was 1/2″ x 4″. I used a Bone Folder to the shape my strip. Then I attached the left end with a Dimensional and Glue Dots to hold that curved, lifted look on the left edge.
After attaching that left end, I attached the right to the other side of the punched heart. Then I trimmed the left to remove the excess hanging over the edge and I trimmed the other end of the paper to create the look of a banner.
For the ribbon I just cut and attached two small pieces so they would peek out above and below the banner end.
I attached the doily to Heart Foil Tin cover with a couple Glue Dots.
And as an afterthought, I added two large From My Heart Faceted Gems on the underside in those same areas to conceal the Glue Dots and make the inside a little more fancy. Because the inside contained M&Ms Valentine’s Day Peanut Chocolates (with the pink ones removed), I wasn’t concerned about the gems getting moist or messy.
This third tin also contained dry food (Strawberry Frosted Mini Wheats Cereal), so I sandwiched the lid between to matching punched hearts and decorated the top with a few From My Heart Faceted Gems.
I love that these containers are food safe! My gift recipient can just add milk and enjoy. 🙂
So for my last tin, I whipped up some grain-free chocolate cupcake mix (Simple Mills Cupcake Mix) and baked cupcakes in my remaining tins. These tins hold about twice as much mix as the holes in a regular cupcake baking pan. I wanted a double-sided heart again. So I attached two identical hearts back-to-back and THEN attached that just to the top of the cover to avoid having the cupcake inside touch my decor.
I made this many with that cupcake mix in case you were interested. This brand is different than other mixes in many ways, but this grain-free brand never hurts me when I’m digesting it. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a grain-free and cleaner option.
Two more days and then Nick and I will be on a plane to Disney!!! We are getting so excited!
