Fall is just around the corner! And the beautiful, colorful August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit came just in time for subscribers to put some festive autumn projects together. I love getting these monthly kits! This month’s kit included supplies to put together 6 autumn-themed gift bags, 6 additional gift tags, and lots of extras. It included the supplies shown below.
But I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So I added the extra supplies in the product list at the bottom of this post (including the special Gift of Fall Add-On notecards/envelopes bundle made especially to coordinate with this August kit) to the above kit supplies and created my alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:
- A 12Ă—12 Scrapbook Page Layout
- A Treat Bag with a Window
- Two Alternate Greeting Cards (plus one that I didn’t design)
- and Two Monster Puppets
Watch my video first to get to get measurements, directions, and tips (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog). Scroll down to see close-up photos, access the links that I mentioned at the beginning of my video, and see a list of extra supplies (linked to my online store) that I used to make my creations. Then be sure to visit my blog again soon, because I have many more alternate projects that I’ll be sharing in the coming week or so. ?
Here is a photo of the bags the kit instructs how to make.
And here are close-up photos of the alternate projects I made and shared in my video. (Remember to watch the video first to get measurements, tips and directions.)
12Ă—12 SCRAPBOOK PAGE LAYOUTÂ
TREAT BAG WITH A WINDOW
Wouldn’t this be fun filled with treats! The recipient would see them in the window and be even more excited.
I’ve added a bunch of notecards and envelopes to the bag in this photo. But you could actually fill the bag with regular size cards (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) and envelopes if you wanted to.
TWO ALTERNATE GREETING CARDS (plus one that I didn’t design)
This third layout was pictured on the back of the kit flyer/instruction pamphlet. I loved it so much, I had to copy it to share.
TWO MONSTER PUPPETS (for the kids!)
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

Thanks so much Mary Beth!
Awesomeness me ideas, as always, Rachel!
Hehehe…thanks Jennie!
I don’t scrapbook because no one takes pictures anymore! (in my family)! So, I don’t even look at those normally. But, I did yours, and loved it. Still no pictures, but will make for family to mail out. But, I had so much fun reading and watching your video. You amaze me with how many ideas you come up with when only one kit was used. And then the Add Ons were fun as well! Thank you so much for sharing with us! I really enjoyed it ALL!
Oh fun! Thanks so much Gloria. It makes me feel so good that you enjoyed what I shared. 🙂
You’ re the reason I smiled today/ what stamp set is that from?
Sorry…I should mention that in my supply list. It’s from a past Paper Pumpkin kit: February 2019 https://stampyourartout.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/02.19_PP_STAMPCASEINSERT.pdf
