After making my Healing Hugs card that I gave to my father-in-law (the one I shared on May 11), I decided that this layout would work for cards that I needed to make for some achieving members of my Stampers With ART group. I kept the same layout, changed up just the base color, and used a sentiment from the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set.
I love how this sentiment ties in so well with the Glitter Enamel Dots.
I think the Crumb Cake card base is more cheerful, too. I wish I would’ve used it on Fred’s card. By the way, Fred is hanging in there. We don’t have answers for everything, he is not back to normal yet and needing oxygen and meds to keep him stable, but he is at home. So I’m positive your prayers are helping. Thank you.
Below are directions, measurements and supplies if you wish to recreate this card above. (I basically copied and pasted from the May 11th post. But this way you won’t need to go back and forth if you want to sit down to make this.)
Products I used… See below for a list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
- Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” and folded in half
- Tranquil Tide Cardstock
- 4-1/2” x 2-1/4”
- Whisper White Cardstock
- 4-1/4″ x 2″
- 5-1/4″ x 4″ for the inside layer
- Nature’s Poem Designer Paper
- 4″ x 3″
- Crumb Cake Cardstock
- Stamp the sentiment in the upper left corner of the Whisper White Cardstock piece. Stamp the flower in Melon Mambo ink in the lower right. Then stamp the leaf images with Crumb Cake ink coming from the flower & to fill in/balance.
- Adhere the Nature’s Poem Designer Paper to the front of the card base piece left justified. Adhere the Whisper White to the Tranquil Tide. Then add that right justified to the front of the card base using Dimensionals to lift it a bit.
- Adhere the Whisper White Cardstock to the inside of the card.
- Add Glitter Enamel Dots to embellish the front a bit.
Retiring products (like the stamp set, Tranquil Tide cardstock and ink, and the designer paper used in this card above) are only available through June 3 or while supplies last. CLICK HERE for more detailed information.
Did you know that the Aqua Painters are awesome for sealing envelopes?! I remember using this tool for envelopes a couple years ago. But I forgot about this idea until my friend Vicki mentioned it to me again one day when she was over helping me. So now when I have a ton of envelopes to seal up, I grab my Aqua Painter (which I keep filled), squeeze it to release a bit of water, wipe across the adhesive area of the envelope flaps, and seal ‘er shut. ?

ANNUAL CATALOG NEWS
Due to recent supplier issues (and other factors), Stampin’ Up! will no longer be carrying the current die-cutting machine and trimmer: The Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer are retiring. These changes are giving Stampin’ Up! the opportunity to research and explore replacement options. But there will be a gap when we do not have a trimmer or die-cutting machine available. You will not see these items in the upcoming 2019-20 Annual Catalog that debuts June 4, 2019. Click here for more information.
