I have another unique card to share with you! It’s a basic fun-fold inspired by the traditional Origami Square Base. It’s like an explosion card but without an extra layer of cardstock to encase it. Instead I use a belly band to hold it shut. The Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and the Petal Promenade Designer Paper really bring it all together for a fun and stunning birthday card that’s sure to make anyone feel special.

Rather than writing out all the details & directions to make this fun-fold, I shared that information in this Facebook Live broadcast. By the way…I spent a bit of time at the beginning talking about the struggles of trying to broadcast when it was originally scheduled. And if you were wondering what kind of envelope to use, these cards will fit into our Medium Whisper White Envelopes,

Here are the measurements you’ll need if you plan to recreate this card.

Measurements…

• Whisper White Cardstock
  • 8-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”…in the opposite direction at 4-1/4”…and then diagonally corner to corner (just once)
  • Scraps for stamping and punching 2” Circles
• Petal Promenade Designer Paper
  • 4” x 4”
  • Two more 4” x 4” pieces also cut diagonally corner to corner
• Blushing Bride (or Soft Sea Foam) Cardstock
  • ¾” x 4-1/4”
  • Scrap for stamping & punching small balloon
  • Scrap for punching a set of leaves
• Melon Mambo (or Blackberry Bliss) Cardstock
  • 1” x 11”
  • Scrap for punching large balloon
  • Scrap for punching 2-1/4” Circle
  • Scrap for punching a set of leaves
