Today I’m hosting a stamping event for those in my team who want to swap cards. People who live too far away to attend mailed in completed swaps cards.
Those attending are coming with finished swap cards for the “long-distance” people and unfinished swap cards for the others. So at the event we get to make each other’s cards! It’s fun, it’s social, and we get to create!
This is my card.
You may recognize it. I shared a few versions if this with the cat punch on March 23rd. (Make sure you click back on that post to see the how-to video and get helpful tips and directions.) If you wish to recreate this doggy one, here are the measurements you’ll need and a list of products I used.
Some tips on the Vellum Cardstock: Emboss it first (embossing vellum will whiten the vellum where the fibers get broken – fun, huh!?), then punch out the dog & heart. Add the sentiment piece and the silver heart first. That way when attaching the vellum to your Basic Black cardstock, you can add adhesive behind the silver heart and the sentiment to keep adhesive hidden.

- 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” and folded in half
- Vellum Cardstock
- 2-3/4” x 4”
- Basic Black Cardstock
- 2-7/8” x 4-1/8”
- Whisper White Cardstock
- 3” x 4-1/4” (includes punched 1″ Circle too – see video in my March 23rd post for details)
- Silver Foil Sheets
- Scraps for punching 1-1/8″ Scallop Circle and heart

This one is a simpler version closer to the cat version I shared in my post on March 23rd. You don’t need a Big Shot tool to make this one…just pretty paper.

I don’t know of anyone who has lost their dog recently (I’ll have a couple cards on hand when I do), but I need to mail out yet another cat version of this card. So sad. Animals are so sweet. It’s heartbreaking to lose them.
