Today’s paper crafting project is this vertical Strip Fold Card that I made with the new Level 2 Painted Seasons Bundle (the stamp set and its coordinating designer paper). With this pack of paper you get twelve double-sided 12×12 sheets – three of four designs. So if you were mass producing this exact card from one pack, you could seriously make 36 of them!
It LOOKS like my succulent designer paper layer is 4″ x 5-1/4″ which in that case you could only make 18 of these cards. But the amount of designer paper I used is really only 4″ x 3″ per card.
Just as with my Strip Fold Cards that I shared on January 21st, I just used small strip of designer paper on the top and a small strip on the bottom portion of the card. The Strip Fold portion of the card that runs through the middle covers up the break in the paper. But unlike the diagonal rainbow-striped paper in my Jan. 21st card, this card involves less math. All I had to do is take a 4″ x 3″ portion of my paper, cut it in half, and adhere one up high and one down low on the base piece to make it appear as if it’s all one large layer.
I got fancy with inking up my succulent stamp image. First I inked it up with Lemon Lime Twist. Next I took my Call Me Clover Stampin’ Write marker and carefully drew on dark green ink between the leaves on the rubber of the stamp.
Then I remoistened the ink by “huffing” on the stamp. I stamped it down, cut it out, and then used my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write marker to add a touch of pink to the tips of the leaves.
Here are a few more details to help you out if you wish to recreate this card.

- Position the flower where it will go to know where to adhere the sentiment strip.
- If you don’t want to fussy-cut the succulent stamp images, then you are in for a treat!… During the month of March, you’ll be able to purchase the coordinating Four Seasons Framelits die.

Rachel I totally love this card. I think this might be an inspiration for On Stage swap. Are you okay with that? Maybe you would be doing it. Just let me know.
Totally fine with that! Thanks Kelly. 🙂 I’m not doing any swaps for the event (unfortunately for me).
Love this card. Just got my sampler pack from you today and I realize that those are cut 4 by 3 so I can make some of these cards while I am waiting for my Painted Seasons bundle to arrive. Thank you so much!
Thanks Carol! Yep…that’s what I made the card – those sampler pieces. 😉 How fun that you noticed.
