I am very honored once again to be the special guest for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! Each person participating in this hop found a project from my blog and used it for inspiration to create something of their own. In the paper crafters’ world we call this CASEing. In this hop CASE stands for “Copy And Selectively Edit.” Although you may have also heard it defined as “Copy And Share Everything/Everywhere.” I am also participating by CASEing a couple of my own past projects!
I wanted to show a couple fun ideas that could be created with our soon-to-be-retiring Tutti Frutti 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper. I first decided to CASE these cards that were featured in my February 21, 2017 post,…
…because I really think the designer paper patterns in this pack are fun and can take over a whole card.
I really wanted to make the sentiment piece pop, so I added Mini Dimensionals under the Whisper White circle and under the fruit. And because I cut my paper from a 6″ x 6″ piece, I had a 1-3/4″ wide strip left. So I added that to the inside of the card.
Measurements…
- Whisper White Thick cardstock:
- 11” x 4-1/4” scored and folded in half at 5-1/2” and a scraps for stamping and punching out the sentiment piece and the fruit.
- Designer Paper:
- 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for the outside 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ for the inside.
Products:  See below for a full list of supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Tips/Directions:
- Attach the designer paper to the card front.
- Stamp the sentiment image/s on the Whisper White scrap. (I “stamped off” to get lighter shades of ink for my fruit. Some call this “second generation” stamping.)
- Punch the sentiment image with the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch.
- Stamp the extra fruit. Punch the extra fruit with the coordinating punch from the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. (The stamp images are larger than what will punch. This is so that you will have no white edges on your punched out pieces.)
- Adhere the extra fruit with a Mini Dimensional. Adhere the Whisper White circle to the Metallic Foil Doily using Dimensionals. Then attach this to the front of the card along the right edge, and trim the excess doily away.
- Attach the designer paper to the inside. And stamp any additional sentiments or images inside.
Here are three other cards.
The inside paper is the same designer piece but it’s flipped over.
6″ x 6″ Designer Paper is perfect for making origami pouches, too. For my second project idea I’m CASEing the pouches that were featured in my May 11, 2017 post. (The directions for the fold can be found there.)
These are much simpler to make than they look. And what a great way to share a fun treat.
Measurements…
- Whisper White Thick cardstock:

- Coordinating colored cardstock:
