What a fabulous weekend we had!
Cheryl Lee and I went up to my parents’ lake place in Northern Minnesota for a fun get-away so I could spoil her and we could stamp and celebrate her accomplishments and successes she’s had in her Stampin’ Up! business.
These first photos show the “pillow gifts” I gave her when we first arrived. And these photos are followed by a few glimpses of the fun moments we had while there. (Thanks Mom & Dad for opening up your home and being such fabulous hosts!)
Cheryl received a personalized make-up bag. Notice I added a cute tassel from the Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit?
Her second pillow gift was this box that contained an etched Clear Block D.
And the third gift was a bag filled with various silver Stampin’ Up! products tied up with ribbons and a pretty tag.
Here are a few photos that show how I put together the base part of the tag… I looped another cute tassel onto a long folded piece of twine and sandwiched it between the two circular pieces with some Tear & Tape adhesive.
Below is a full list of supplies I used to for these fun gifts. These supplies are also linked to where you can find them in my online store.
We took off around 10:30 AM on Friday morning and stopped for lunch a couple hours into the ride at a fun restaurant called The Beanery in Aitkin, MN.
There was live music and the food tasted great!
We arrived at my parents’ place (the cabin) at about 3:15 in the afternoon. They really did a great job at making us feel like we were at a Bed & Breakfast. There were cute decorations and little touches like this here and there.
My parents also helped me by making and cleaning up after many of the meals. I think they are going to have to be with me on all my future Silver Elite Retreats!
On Saturday Cheryl, my mom and I paper crafted pretty much the whole day!
We took breaks for meals and for a walk in the woods. (I had to go down our big hill on the sled, too!) But otherwise we just stamped and stamped and stamped the whole day even right to bedtime.
Did I already mention how much I appreciated my parents helping me to put on this fun event?! We were sad when Sunday morning came around.
But we were sent off with a fabulous breakfast and a whole bunch of beautiful snow.
Actually the snow (though super pretty) was falling fast and was about 8″ high when we left around 11:30 AM. My dad shoveled a path so we could pack the van, and he even led us out to the main road by making tire tracks with his vehicle for us to follow.
I’m looking forward to doing this again next year. I had fun spoiling my Silver Elite. And I REALLY enjoyed spending so much quality time with Cheryl.

P.S. I am putting together another Online Paper Crafters Club and am looking for a few more members to join in. The commitment is to place an order each month for 6 months in row. In one of those months you would get the Stampin’ Rewards (the free goodies) based on the collective orders from those in the club. The other perks would be free catalogs shipped to you, a set of 6 free hand-stamped cards at the end of the 6-month commitment, and exclusive project ideas emailed to you each month. I’m hoping to start this club at the beginning of April. You do not need to live near me. Anyone in the US can join. Let me know if you are interested!
