Can you believe it’s already November!? That means the new Stampin’ Blends are here and available!!
Check out the latest treats that I made. The pieces to make these were sent out to all those in my Stampers With ART Community in October. This is what I sent them…
- Whisper White cardstock (pre-stamped with the snowman images): 2″ x 4-1/4″
- Soft Sky cardstock: 2-1/8″ x 2-3/4″
- Pool Party Twine: 8″
- 2″ x 8″ Cellophane Bag
And then I emailed them a link to a private how-to video so they could recreate a version of these treats using their own coloring tools (Blends if they had them, stamp pads & Blender Pens, markers, Watercolor Pencils,…) and candy.
Each treat topper (or tag) has a front and a back image.
I love the rich color that our new Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers give.
Each stamper got a piece of Whisper White paper stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then they could choose to fold the paper in half to make their topper OR die-cut it or fussy-cut it.
If you don’t own any alcohol-based markers and would like to give these a try, you can purchase them in my Online Store starting today. OR…Consider joining my Online Blends Club to get way more for your money. Click here to learn more: Online Blends Club
Those that didn’t cut out their snowman images were shown how to take their supplies and make this tag topper below. This treat bag was cut down for a shorter version. The Soft Sky cardstock piece was folded over first and stapled on. Then the snowman piece was folded over that and added with adhesive.
Here are the supplies you’ll need if you wish to recreate any of these treats…

Fun, right? Who wouldn’t love to get a holiday goody in packaging like this?
Last night was Halloween. So I thought I’d share a few photos from the fun we had this year. This is one that I took last night. My youngest, Luke takes after his Dad – they both love to dress as characters from scary movies. yuck! My oldest, Nick has been obsessed with fishing these past few months, so he dressed as a mounted bass on a plaque.
On October 20th our family went to a festive event called Pumpkin Nights. It was amazing to see all the displays.
Notice Nick in summer clothes? The deal we made months back was that he could wear shorts through the end of October unless there was snow on the ground. That crazy kid wore shorts up through yesterday and the high was only 39 degrees F!
We had a great time…tried a bit of the food, went through a small maze, watched the entertainment and admired the creativity. So glad my kiddos still enjoyed wearing costumes and trick-or-treating this year.
Who knows what will happen next year, though. Nick is considering just handing out candy. What?! They grow up way too fast!
