The hand painted watercolor designs of this Whole Lot of Lovely patterned paper are so beautiful!
I'm in love with the orange blossom sheet in particular because of how the flowers just pop out with that black background.
I made this card below soon after making a similar one that I shared on July 4th. This one below is just more doable in a class setting – no worry about lining up images AND one less ink pad to put out for everyone to use. (Even us seasoned demonstrators have accidentally mixed colors by putting an already inked stamp into the wrong pad.) So yes, this card was one that I made with several stampers. And they all did great!
Here is what you'll need to recreate it.
Supplies:
- Stamps: Lots of Love (143799w or 143802c)
- Paper:
- Whisper White Thick cardstock (140272): 4-1/4” x 11” folded in half & 2-1/2” x 3-1/4” scrap

- Pool Party Shimmer ribbon (144152): about 14” & about 4”

Instructions:
- Die-cut the 1-7/8” diameter Stitched Shapes circle Framelit from one end of the Whisper White scrap.
- Use the black marker to ink up just the “thinking of you” portion of the sentiment image. Stamp onto remaining white scrap. And punch out with Classic Label Punch. Set aside.
- Ink up flower image with Tangerine Tango ink, stamp off onto scrap paper, add more ink in the center with the Sponge Dauber and stamp onto the die-cut circular Whisper White piece.
- Color a self-adhesive Clear Faceted Gem with the black Sharpie marker. Allow it to dry a bit. Then add it to the center of the stamped flower. Set aside.
- Attach the designer paper about ½” away from the top of the Pool Party cardstock using Fast Fuse. Wrap the long ribbon around and tie in a knot. Secure the center of the knot about ¾” of an inch from the right edge of the cardstock with a Glue Dot. Trim the ends.
- Attach the Whisper White floral circle piece with Glue Dots. Tuck & attach the sentiment strip with Fast Fuse.
- Add this whole piece to the front of the Whisper White card base using Fast Fuse.
- Stamp the large sentiment image on the inside of the card with Tuxedo Black ink. Fold small ribbon piece in half to make a narrow “v” shape, trim the ends, and attach to the inside of the card with a staple.
Thanks for visiting today.
I think I like this one better than the one from the July 4th post. More color perhaps, but it just jumps out at me.
Thank you for sharing your ideas and projects!
I think I do, too! 😉
Thanks Donna.
