Today is the last day for new subscribers to get in on the 25% off deal for their first 3 months of Paper Pumpkin kits. So I thought I would share three more "outside the box" cards I created with this past month's kit, Sprinkled with Love.
(If you didn't see my other alternate creations that I shared earlier, be sure to visit both my May 30th post and my May 25th post.)
This card was inspired one that my friend, Debbie Henderson had made. If you can look past how many rodents are in this mound of cheese, it's sort of cute how they all have a little spot in which to enjoy this treat.
I made my cheese a couple layers so the mice could weave in and out.
The extra supplies I used were:
- 1/2" Circle Punch [119869]
- 3/4" Circle Punch [119873]
- 1" Circle Punch [119868]
- Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Pad [140931]
- Cherry Cobbler 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [119685]
This second card incorporated the inner tubes I demonstrated how to make in my May kit video.
I'm a big fan of z-fold cards. I guess I love that you don't lose sight of what's on the front of the card after it's open.
I achieved the look of water droplets on the inner tubes by adding dots of Fine Tip Glue and allowing it to dry.
The "water drops" on the banner are from peeling the white adhesive backing off of a few White Perfect Accents to make them clear and attaching them with Glue Dots.
The extra supplies I used were:
- Seaside Shore Clear-Mount Stamp Set [141625]
- Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder [141481]
- Pool Party 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [122924]
- Vellum 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [101856]
- Layering Circle Framelits Dies [141705]
- Island Indigo Classic Stampin' Pad [126986]
- Whisper White Craft Stampin' Ink Refill [101780]
- White Perfect Accents [138416]
- Banner Triple Punch [138292]
- Fine-Tip Glue Pen [138309]
- Fast Fuse Adhesive [129026]
And this 3rd card was one that I gave to my dad with his early Father's Day gift. He loves donuts, and when the May 2017 Sprinkled with Love kit arrived in mid-May, I just knew that I had to get him a donut-themed gift. First I bought everything: the Dunkin' Donuts coffee, the Dunkin' Donuts gift cards, and the donut inner tube (found at Target). Then I made the card to match.
I probably wouldn't have thrown all these bright colors on the card if I wasn't trying to coordinate with the gifts.
But even though it's "loud," it's a cheerful card.
The extra supplies I used were:
- Guy Greetings Clear Stamp Set [138828]
- Early Espresso 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [119686]
- Soft Suede 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [115318]
- Pacific Point 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [111350]
- Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad [126948]
- Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad [126945]
- Pacific Point 1/4" Stitched-Edge Ribbon [144199]
- 1/2" Circle Punch [119869]
- Fine-Tip Glue Pen [138309]
- stamps from the April 2017 A Sara Thing Paper Pumpkin kit
Using the April Paper Pumpkin kit stamps would've sufficed had I intended this card to come only from me.
But we ALL wanted to give the card, so I pulled out the Guy Greetings stamps instead.
Which card was your favorite? I'd love to know.

Love all the cards! Your creativity wtih your Father’s Day gift is awesome! I love the card with all the colors of the gifts on it! Sure to be a big hit!
Such fun cards. I can’t believe you found a sprinkled donut pool tube thing! The swiss cheese one is really cute and there is a cheese shop in Des Moines. If I don’t do the coffee card like I usually do I might try that one for a change. I think he would rather have coffee with his buddies though. That Paper Pumpkin kit was a hole lotta fun!
Thanks Susan. He got it early since we wouldn’t see him on Father’s Day weekend. And he enjoyed it! Yay!
Thanks Chris. 🙂
It really was a fun kit! There were so many possibilities to create something different, yet the intended cards were cute, too.
