The June 2017 One In A Melon Paper Pumpkin kit … #stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I'll be posting a few more ideas on Saturday, but for today I want to share this fun card and food skewer. hehehe!

Yep! I saw the stamp intended for the inside of the watermelon and immediately thought…"sesame seed bun."

Here are the extra supplies that I used to make them (besides the contents of the June 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit):

To get the buns, I stamped the inside watermelon image in Crushed Curry ink two times onto one of the cards from the kit (the non-printed half of the card). Then I used the 2-1/4" Circle Punch to cut the rounded edge…

…and a Paper Snips to cut the straight edge. I then used the Pretty Label Punch with some Early Espresso cardstock (the meat), the green from the sticker sheet (the lettuce), and some Real Red cardstock (the tomato or ketchup). I assembled my burger with the glue dots in the kit and set it aside.

Then I cut some Real Red cardstock in half to get a 4-1/4" x 11" card base piece and scored it at 4-3/4" in from one end and 1-1/2" in from the other. I stamped "it's your day!" in Early Espresso ink on a watercolor wash banner piece from the kit and attached it using Glue Dots to the front of the card over a few foliage stickers (also from the kit). Use this photo below showing the score lines to see where to attach these pieces to the Real Red cardstock.

On the flip side I added a watercolor wash small rectangle piece from the kit, another foliage sticker, a strip of 3/4" x 4-1/4" Early Espresso cardstock (so that just 1/8" extends beyond as shown in the photo above), and a few Glue Dots as shown below.

I removed the backings on the Glue Dots and folded it up to make the gift card pocket. Anything written to the card recipient can go on the watercolor wash small rectangle piece.

I attached the burger to the front using Dimensionals from the kit. And ta-da!

The skewer decor was super simple, too. I made sure that the paper/cardstock parts touching the skewer had Glue Dots and the outside areas had two layers of Dimensionals to make up from the thickness of the skewer.

My plan was to photograph this stuck into a pile of burgers, but I didn't have any. And since only two in our family will eat them, it didn't make sense to make a pile of them just for a photo. But hopefully you get the idea. How festive it would be decorating a table full of food at a summer party!
