Festive Crazy Cake Cards

I needed quite a few easy and festive cards for some of my Stampers With ART stampers. So I grabbed my new Crazy Cake stamp set and some bright colors of ink, cardstock and ribbon and put together these cheerful ones.

I kept the inside blank and wrote what I wanted to say on a sticky note. This way my recipients could choose to pass their card along to another.

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half for the card base & 4-3/4" x3-1/2"
Cucumber Crush Cardstock: 4-7/8" x 3-5/8"
Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon: ~12"
Melon Mambo 1/8" Stitched Ribbon: ~12"

Tips/Directions:

Stamp the bottom cake layer in Rich Razzleberry ink about one inch from the bottom of the 4-3/4" x3-1/2" Whisper White piece.
Build onto the cake from there stamping the next layer in Melon Mambo, the next in Bermuda Bay and the top cake layer in Cucumber Crush. Thankfully the stamps are see-through so you can get the to layer on each other well and get the centered on the cardstock.
Next stamp the candles in Rich Razzleberry and then the flames in Crushed Curry.
Attach this Whisper White piece to the Cucumber Crush piece.
Tie on both ribbons at the same time. Trim the ends after tying the knot.
Attach this to the card base piece using Dimensionals (one in each corner should be enough).
Then glitz it up a bit by sticking on a few rhinestones.

I LOVE this stamp set! Not only is it fun, but it's versatile because cakes on a card could recognize birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations,…really ANYTHING worth celebrating.

I can't wait to make a scrapbook page layout with these stamps. Oh…Did I tell you!?! I get to go on a crafting retreat again! (It's been awhile.) So I will have lots of page layouts to share in February.
