Yay! As promised…
Today (late in the day, but still today) I am sharing some of the alternate project ideas I created with this month's Paper Pumpkin kit: October 2016 Season of Gratitude
Introducing Part 1 of 2 which includes…
- Two alternate card layouts
- A 3-D paper pumpkin décor piece
- And a Project Life photo page layout
I will finish up Part 2 this evening and hopefully post the rest of my ideas by tomorrow. Watch this video to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of these projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them.
Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects that I created from this kit that I shared in this video.
THE INTENDED KIT CARD
I recommend making tight frames around the leaf windows especially if you are going to make the vertical version of this card. The framing of each leaf window is very important if you are keeping separate colors or sizes of sequins assigned to each leaf as in the next card shown.
VANILLA CARD WITH SEQUIN COLORS SEPARATED
Here is how I positioned the foam adhesive strips around the leaf windows for this card. The closer, the better so that your sequins don't disappear.

Product List… things you might need/want in addition to the October 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit to make any or all of the above projects.
- Tissue
- Long scissors
- Large needle and needle threader
As some of you may know, with every kit I like to think "outside the box" and come up with lots of alternate ideas so I can share with you other options for what YOU can create with your kit contents. Are you one of my personal Paper Pumpkin subscribers? If so, then several MORE exclusive ideas will be emailed to you on November 2nd! Woo hoo!
Here is a sneak peek at one of those exclusives!!
(The 11-13 monthly exclusives include supply lists and step-by-step directions for each project.)
Have you wanted to give Paper Pumpkin kits a try, but you've been hesitant about starting a subscription because you are worried that you may not like the intended kit projects? After seeing what I shared today and after realizing all the resources you will have at your fingertips, I hope you will reconsider. The projects in the kit are fabulous.
