Joy… What a great word!
I made this card with Christmas in mind, but it really could be given for any happy occasion. The colors and the images (stars, circles, branches) are crisp and cool, but they aren't necessarily Christmas-only.
I could see this card being used for birthdays, graduation, a new baby, etc.
The left and right sections on the front of the card are up on Dimensionals so that the middle area looks recessed. This is a fun, trendy look that you'll see on many greeting cards right now.
Measurements:
- Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half for the card base & scrap for punching out 1-1/2" circle
- Whisper White Cardstock: two pieces that are 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" (one for the inside) & crap for punching out 1-3/8" circle
- Soft Sky Cardstock: 3" x 4" & 1-1/4" x 4"
- Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (branches design): 1" x 4"
- Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon: two pieces that are a little over 4" each
Tips:
- Stamp on the Soft Sky cardstock – smallest circles in Soft Sky ink, medium circles in "stamped-off" Soft Sky ink, and large circles in Whisper White ink. Let white ink dry.
- Attach ribbon to back side of Soft Sky pieces using Fast Fuse adhesive (which I forgot to mention below) so that just an eighth inch edge shows from the front. Trim excess.
- After attaching 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock with SNAIL adhesive to front of card, then add the 1-1/4" x 4" piece of Soft Sky with Dimensionals on the left front. Next add the 1" x 4" piece of designer paper with SNAIL adhesive to the right of that. Then add the 3" x 4" piece of Soft Sky with Dimensionals so it lines up with the right edge the way the left Soft Sky piece lined up with the left side
- Stamp, punch, layer and add the circle piece.
- Add sequins with Glue Dots.
