Christmas in July!? If you are a card-maker, this is not out of the ordinary. In fact we aren't surprised when the Christmas decorations and products start appearing in the stores MONTHS before – some of us are even excited. And some of us creative folk are already designing and creating our Christmas cards right around now.
So here is a little inspiration if you are in that state of mind already.
I used the Foxy Friends stamp set and coordinating punch bundle – the same bundle that I used to make the bunny and raccoon cards I shared in previous posts.
Measurements:
- Crumb Cake Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half for the card base
- Garden Green Cardstock: 2-7/8" x 3-5/8"
- Whisper White Cardstock: 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" & 4" x 5-1/4" for the inside
- Wild Wasabi Cardstock: scrap piece
Tips:
- If making multiples, cut skinny and long strips of Wild Wasabi cardstock for the "Hello" pieces – 1 to 1-1/2" in thickness. And stamp the "Hello's" first. That way you won't waste much cardstock when punching them out.
- Invest in both Gold AND Silver Metallic Thread if you are making multiples. The Metallic Enamel Shapes come in both silver and gold, and you can get 30 (rather than just 15) cards created from one pack of the enamel shapes.
- Use Dimensionals to attach the Garden Green cardstock to the embossed Crumb Cake card base.
- Add loops of thread to the back of the "Hello" piece with SNAIL before attaching to the card with Dimensionals.
- Our envelopes are sold in packs of 40. If making multiples, you may want to purchase a pack or two.
- If you like to include photos with your cards, you can always add one on the inside – attach (with SNAIL) to the left when open or just insert a loose photo so recipients can keep it and not bother with trying to remove any adhesives.
- Below is a very complete list of supplies. You wouldn't need them all for making this card, because I included choices. The Foxy Friends stamp set and punch are sold separately, but also in a bundle. The Flourishing Phrases stamps are available in both wood-mount and clear-mount. And I included a SNAIL refill in the list for those of you who may not know that we have refills for this adhesive – no need to buy new each time.

LOL…it will be here before we know it, too. Crafters need to be ahead of the game.
