July 30th Update: You can now view my how-to videos on my July 30th Blog Post (CLICK HERE).
My videos aren't ready yet, but I am tooooooo excited to hang onto my ideas any longer. I played with my July 2016 What A Gem Paper Pumpkin kit within days of getting my kit in the mail and had all my projects created last week. On Friday my neighbor was kind enough to watch my boys for the day so I could record my videos. The weekend was busy: a family reunion on Saturday and a HUGE demonstrator event on Sunday (where I was a presenter), and then I had to fit getting ready for the cabin into the last couple days. Phew! So while I am up north with my family, I will edit and upload the videos. I promise! My hope is to post them on Saturday. Cross your fingers for me. hehehe
But yes, I'm trying something new this time. I'm sharing photos of my alternate Paper Pumpkin kit projects BEFORE I share the videos. Let me know if you like this idea OR if you want me to go back to sharing the video at the same time for future months.
Here are the alternate projects I came up with for the What A Gem kit.
A CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT
CHRISTMAS TREE NOTECARD
SUNSHINE NOTECARD
SAILBOAT NOTECARD
GRADUATION CAP NOTECARD
FUN-FOLD "MATCHBOOK" CARD
PROJECT LIFE GEM PAGE LAYOUT
12X12 KITE LAYOUT
BIRTHDAY GIFT BOX
It's amazing all the things you can create with these kits and just a few other extra products! Check back on Saturday for the videos where I will give tips, directions and walk you through creating these projects. I'll also list the additional supplies I needed to make these projects.
For every $50 you spend in between July 7 and July 31 (before shipping and tax), you’ll get a $5 Bonus Days coupon that you can use August 2–31. Click here to read the details of this promotion.
Oh my Rachel!!! Such fabulous ideas!!! WOW!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. Always such an inspiration.
Rachel! Love, love, love these alternate ideas for the kit. I would not probably use this kit as much for its intended project. I am not crazy about the fact that you have to make it when you are ready to fill it. So to your question for us, I do like seeing the photos ahead. It is nice to see what projects will be shown and also to think about how you may have done them ahead of really getting the scoop on the video. As always, thank you so much for your generous heart in sharing your amazing talent!
Totally amazed at all these projects! And even though I’m not a scrapbooker, you may convert me to one after seeing the pages you put together with the Serene Scenery dsp. Gorgeous!
Showing the photos of your projects before the video is a good idea for me, because then I’ll have time to look them over and think about what you did. If some people don’t like it, they can wait to look at the photos after.
Many thanks for once again creating beautiful things for us!
Rachel I appreciate the ideas you share for the PP for cards and scrapbooking. I don’t like the box and other Poo-Poo ideas. I signed up to make cards basically, so your ideas help me make more use of my kits.
Many Thanks!!
Thank you for the fabulous & different ideas for the July PP, all are outstanding!!! I really like seeing the photos before the videos come out, many thanks!!!
You are sweet to me Phyllis. Thank you! Hugs!!
Oh! Thank you for your feedback, Kathy. And I’m glad you like what I created. 🙂
LOL! Love it. Well, keep me posted on if I end up converting you to become a scrapbooker.
Thank you for your kind comment too, Kathy. I’m glad you liked what I created. I appreciate your feedback. So far it looks like no one minds getting the video/s a little later.
I’m so glad! Thanks for your kind comment. Hugs!
Super! It sounds like seeing the projects right away and waiting for the video is totally fine for everyone so far. I’m glad since it’s so hard for ME to wait so long to share.
Thanks for your sweet comment too, Missy. 🙂
These ideas are awesome. When I received my paper pumpkin this month I was disappointed and put it aside. Now that I see all the possibilities that you have opened up to us,through your creativity, it is amazing.
Thank you so much for sharing.

Hi Rachel,
I’ve only been a subscriber of Paper Pumpkin since January 2016 and it’s because of your wonderful ideas that I subscribed in the first place. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us and for inspiring us to create. I’m always so happy to see what you come up with for each kit. I sincerely appreciate the time you dedicate to putting everything together. For this reason, it doesn’t matter to me whether I see the photos or video first. I’m just so happy to see them. Thank you again, Nina
Oh, you are sweet Dotti! Thanks so much. I’m glad you liked what I created. Does that mean the kit is coming back out? 😉
Thank you for your very kind words, Nina. You made my day and touched my heart! Hugs to you.
