It's been a busy June here so far.
I just finished cutting, separating & packaging up my first batch of product shares! (Fun stuff!)
And those shares are all going out into the mail today. Thankfully I had a little help yesterday (the day I ABSOLUTELY had to finish them up). My assistant, Patty came for a couple hours in the morning, my girlfriend, Jenny wrapped ribbon a bit for me in the afternoon. And my mom helped me get the boxes ready for the post office in the evening.
Thankfully my kiddos have been busy, too. The weather has been pretty great here in Minnesota. It feels like it's summer, so they have had lots of fun having school friends over for playdates, playing outside with the neighborhood kids, eating treats…
…and this week they have also been attending and enjoying Vacation Bible School with their buddy, Logan.
They are so glad to be done with school. And they LOVE that mom has been busy with new catalog events and product shares, because they haven't had to start their "summer jobs" routine yet! LOL
June is always a little crazy at this time of year. The start of the new Stampin' Up! catalog generates lots of excitement (of course). So this year, I held an Open House to show off new product.
(Those that came got to make and take home a fun bookmark showing off the new In Colors!)
I also hosted a large card-making event that was booked full all three nights. Here are the cards we made during that Stamp-A-Stack event.
Set #1 featured products in the Affectionately Yours Suite – designer paper and the coordinating stamp set. (This card was my favorite. The paper is to die for, and colors and images are so rich!)
Here is one of them close up. See the copper accenting in the paper?!
Set #2 was a favorite of many who attended. They loved the masculine look, playing with the new 2016-18 In Colors and the versatility to use this card for almost any occasion.
The stamp set we used was In The Meadow. And many of the class attendees were glad to see the Woodlands embossing folder had returned to the catalog.
Set #3 took the longest (lots of fussy cutting was involved), but 1/2 the attendees said they loved it anyway. And Marquee Messages showed up more than any other stamp set on the order forms.
And for Set #4 participants made 3 of this simple and sweet butterfly card (showing off the Painter's Palette stamp set and coordinating designer paper) designed and given to me by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Susan Campfield. I only took pictures of this one card, but each guest received 3 different designer paper pieces to put under the die-cut butterflies of their cards.
The designer paper butterfly was cut with the Bold Butterfly framelits die and the intricate one was cut with the Butterflies thinlits die.
So in the end each person went home with 12 different cards even though we only had 3 of 4 card styles out on the tables.
I hope you enjoyed my card ideas today. Now I am off to the post office to deliver those fun product shares! (Let me know if you'd like to take part in any of my shares. I still have people signing up, but not quite enough to order the second batch yet.)
