Wow! The Mediterranean trip was so amazing, I needed a week just to catch up on sleep and get myself back on track. In fact just when I thought I was back on schedule, exhaustion would hit me again like a ton of bricks. Saturday night – almost a week after returning – I slept for 11 hours!
So please forgive me for not posting much last week.
I'm excited to share because I have many ideas already created with new catalog products! This card is a sweet and simple one using the Affectionately Yours Suite – the designer paper, washi tape, embossing folder and coordinating stamp set.
Measurements:
- Daffodil Delight Cardstock: 11" x 4-1/4" folded in half for the card base
- Mint Macaron Cardstock: 4" x 3/4"
- Whisper White Cardstock: 4" x 3-1/2" for the inside & 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" for the banner on the front
- Affectionately Yours Designer Paper (multicolored copper foil floral): 5/8" x 4-1/4"
- Affectionately Yours Washi Tape (multicolored floral): about 3-3/4"
Directions/Tips:
- Emboss the top front of the card base, then stamp randomly with the little flower.
- Tear off about 1/2" from the bottom front of the card base. When tearing, hold card base with left hand and tear off bottom edge with right hand always pulling the cardstock being torn towards you so you expose the core of the cardstock when done.
- Attach designer paper strip to the inside bottom edge of card as shown so it peeks out when card is closed (but top edge of designer paper doesn't show).
- Add washi tape diagonally to white banner piece and punch with Banner Triple punch. Punch mint cardstock with this same punch, then stamp sentiment.
- Attach mint mint banner piece to white banner piece, then attach to card front using Dimensionals under the left side and SNAIL under the right side.
- Embellish with pearls.
I will be sharing pictures from my trip tomorrow. And then on Wednesday, I'll share some ideas from the May Paper Pumpkin kit. I hope you are able to stop back to see what I share.
Thanks for visiting today!

Such a lovely card. I always buy the Washi tape, but rarely use it as I’m never quite sure what to do with it, so I’m happy you’ve demonstrated a wonderful way to incorporate it for a great effect!
Thanks, Kim. I too have to consciously use it because I end up having rolls and rolls when it retires if I don’t. And I LOVE washi tape. It’s just such a new sort of product that I forget about it sometimes.
