The June kits started arriving in subscribers' mailboxes yesterday, and the sharing of fun alternate ideas has begun already on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club on Facebook. If you are on Facebook, click here to join. You don't even need to be a subscriber to be a part of the creative sharing that goes on in this group.
Stampin' Up! also released it's "How To" video for this June kit, Banner Surprise.
I'm excited about the colors, the uniqueness of these cards, the sequins and gold accents (sparkly is always fun!) and the potential for alternate ideas being created with the kit contents.
So since we are on the topic of Paper Pumpkin, I thought I would share another idea I created with last month's May kit, Many Manly Occasions.
This is a Project Life layout – a 12×12 pocket page for photos and memory keeping. Each pocket here is either 3" x 4" or 4" x 6".
The supplies I used in addition to the May Paper Pumpkin kit are…

I trimmed 1/8" off the right side of one of the "triangle" card fronts. And then I cut the card front off the card so that it measured 4" across. (Doing this will leave you 1/8" of card front left attached to the card if you do it right.)
I inked up the surface of one of the "Happy" stickers with StazOn Jet Black ink and then cut it creatively into the letters J o l l y before taking the backing off to adhere these new letters to the page piece. The o is the a upside-down. The J is from the left side of the H. And the l's are from the p's.
I added a couple strips of 4" x 1/2" Basic Black cardstock to the top and bottom of the 5-1/2" x 4" card front piece so they were peeking out just a bit from the underside and then added that to a 6" x 4" piece of Dazzling Details Glimmer paper using Glue Dots. But before doing so…
…the putzy job of adding green triangles had to take place. And I have to tell you, I just used the "trial and error" method of getting the sizing right on the triangles. The Fine Tip Glue Pen was my friend for attaching the triangles to the back side narrow outlines.
The final assembly steps for this piece were adding the letter stickers and the silver stars.
This piece was much easier to make. I just layered a bunch of pieces which included a strip of 4" glimmer paper and a piece of 1-1/4" black cardstock to the base Emerald Envy cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend!

I had to think a bit about the Jolly part – the J I got right away. Great idea as well as fun. The triangles already reminded me of trees. Thanks for a fun idea. I have friends who are SU demos and this would be fun to make for them or at least one of them. I can’t wait to see your alternative projects for the June PP. Mine came today.
Mine came today, too! I have to price for my garage sale before I play, though. 🙁
