The May Paper Pumpkin kit will be shipping soon, so I had to play with my April kit one more time! Today I present to you an adorable monster card and matching box. The flowers in the All About Everything stamp set (the bonus stamp set from this April kit) along with a few circle punches produced fabulous eyes. And the "fringy" green strips from the wreath made up the monsters' fur and fingers.
I shared some tips and measurements for making these projects in my Monday Funday Stamp and Share Periscope broadcast that I recorded yesterday. Click on this below image to view that video. And subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss out on future videos I share.
Here are close-up photos of the Monster card and box.
The fingers are attached with Dimensionals at one end and a glue dot at the other. I love that eyeballs are so easy to make with the flower stamps and circle punches. The irises look so real!
(And I forgot to mention in the video that the measurement for the Sahara Sand brink pieces is 6" x 2-1/2" before embossing. After embossing and then adding it to the card, trim off the excess from the sides.)
The same eyes and the branch from the kit make up the face on the box.
I used a Quaker Oats oatmeal box for my box monster. I covered it with two pieces of Mossy Meadow card stock and secured with strong Tear & Tape adhesive.
The strips that come in the kit can pretty much cover the box. But if you need to space yours out (your box may be a different size) instead of placing them closely as I did, then the Mossy Meadow base would allow you to do so. FYI: Mossy Meadow cardstock will no longer be available after May 31st (or if it sells out sooner).
I've listed the extra supplies I used to make these projects below.

Every month, I wait for your posts of ‘what you thought of this time.’ You are so creative! What an imagination! I love these monsters. Thank you again. I had no idea of what to do with this kit.
Oh thank you, Debbie! I’m so glad you like the projects!
You didn’t mention the measurement of the Sahara Sand CS for the Brick Wall…Would you share that?
So sorry. I’ll edit that in the post. Thanks! The measurement is 6″ x 2-1/2″ before embossing. After adding to the card, trim off the excess from the sides. 🙂
That monster is the cutest! I love it! I don’t have the PPKit, but if I did, that’s what I would make!
OH MY GOODNESS! That is just so Cute!!! What a fabulous way to use the supplies from this kit. I may have to buy a refill just to make it… although, I don’t have any small ones to make it for, it’s just so FUN!
Thanks, Laurie!
LOL…you should get the kits. 😉
Hehehehe…thanks, Donna!
Hi Rachel!
I came across your alternative creation here on Pinterest ‘Paper Pumpkin’ search and had to giggle. My husband and I enjoy the movies, “Guardians of the Galaxy”. I immediately thought “I am Groot”! It made my day!! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us all!
Oh my goodness! Yes…I see the similarities. Thanks for your fun comment Denise.
