The birthday week continues.
Tonight we will have 10 boys here whooping it up to help our oldest celebrate turning 10 years old! The party will continue on into tomorrow as a few are staying overnight! And then my in-laws make the drive up for the afternoon.
Here is an autumn birthday card that I enjoyed making using our fun corrugated paper (new in the 2015-16 Annual Catalog this year), the Woodlands embossing folder, and the gold accents. I love all the texture on this card!
My measurements:
- Cajun Craze card stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2” folded in half to make a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card and a scrap piece for the punched out sentiment)
- Basic Black card stock (2-1/2" x 5-1/2”)
- Very Vanilla card stock (3-1/2” x 4-3/4” for the inside of the card)
- Corrugated paper – Kraft color (2" x 6" scrap)
- Gold Thread (about 16")
Tips:
- Emboss the black and cajun card stock together, but not stuck together with adhesive. Sponge on Cajun Craze ink on the embossed Cajun Craze card stock. And then adhere the black to the cajun.
- Sponge Delightful Dijon and Cajun Craze ink randomly onto the Corrugated paper, then die-cut the leaves.
- Stamp, punch out and sponge the edges of the oval sentiment piece.
- Add adhesive to the back of the oval, then form loops with the thread. Place this piece on the front of the card using Dimensionals.
- Color the rhinestones with a Sharpie marker to give them a golden tone.
