So funny…I am hardly doing a THING (no excursions, no running around…), but still I found it hard to find anytime yesterday to share photos from our retreat. So here are two days worth of fun in one post.
Thursday, September 17th
I woke up for 6:30 AM Yoga led by fellow demonstrator, Lisa Pretto. There were still stars in the sky, and it was very peaceful and tranquil. I was "in the moment." LOL And it felt great!
I had a late breakfast that day, and then joined in on helping to put together thank you gifts for the hotel staff and the Stampin' Up! employees in Kanab. (This is the last Founder's Circle, and we wanted to show our deepest appreciation for how much they have taken care of the achieving demonstrators over the past several years.) Lyssa Zwolanek organized this fabulous idea!
At noon, this beautiful spread was put out for all to enjoy.
And I ate. Boy, did I eat!
After stuffing my face, I took some time to relax at the pool and paint my toenails.
I came back in, and the gift-making process was still happening.
Later that day, some of us enjoyed dinner at the Painted Pony restaurant. What a wonderful meal and in such great company! (From left to right: Lisa Pretto, Jackie Bultje, Kay Kalthoff, Susan Campfield, Terri Gaines, and me.)
We made it back almost in time (just a few minutes late) for the Share & Swap event, the "PJ Party."
Here I am with Glenda Travelstead, Meg Loven, Lynsay Mahon, Susan Campfield and Jen Pitta (in the front).
And here I am with Julie Davison, Meg Loven, Glenda Travelstead, Lynsay Mahon, and Susan Campfield.
CHECK OUT ALL MY SWAPS!! I feel rich! This is better than a bed of roses, right?
Friday, September 18th
Today was the Kanab Tour day! Kanab is where Stampin' Up! manufactures many of it's products – stamps, ink pads, card stock, etc. This is our bus ride out. We are ready for the fun to begin!
Paula Critchlow handed out designer paper to all of us just because. Woo hoo! Free paper!
We arrived to a warm welcome!
I just LOVE Pam Morgan!
We stamped, took pictures by "the rock," had fun touring the apartment where Shelli's family stays, and toured the plant.
Here I am with Susan and April Lopez.
Sara Douglass is such a doll. And she is doing a fabulous job stepping in for Shelli this year.
Go Lynsay!
We got to see (and try out) how rubber stamps and photopolymer stamps are made.
I was in on the tour with a bunch of fun gals: Dawn Griffith, Julie Davison, Catherine Sanders, Susan Campfield, and Selene Kempton. We asked a lot of great questions and…
…tried to steal a few supplies.
(Just kidding of course. But it was fun pretending.)
After the tour and being gifted with a pack of card stock, a stamp set and an ink pad of our choice, we enjoyed a lunch with the employees.
Here are the gifts we made the day before. I helped make all those pretty tags. 🙂
Before heading back to the hotel, we stopped at the park in Kanab where the shredded rubber covers the playground area.
Here I am with my sweet friend, Julie Davison.
And I also got a nice photo with my Minnesota "mom" and "aunt" demonstrators, Susan Campfield and Terri Gaines.
We returned to the hotel and headed out for a quick dinner. A bunch of us ate at George's Corner. And look! They cater to us with food sensitivities. (Not sure why I have that look on my face, though.)
From left to right: Susan Campfield, Catherine Sanders, Glenda Travelstead, Meg Loven, Selene Kempton, Tamra Davis, Angela Waters…
…Angela (again), Lynsay Mahon, Sarahueler, me, Jackie Bultje, Mary Knabe, and Susan (again).
I opted to have a quiet evening and catch up on emails, Facebook, etc. Here I am with Lisa Curcio who also had the same train of thought.
I get to sleep in tomorrow. And I'm looking forward to not setting my alarm clock. Good night everyone.
Looks like a ton of fun! All that food – I think I would gain 10 lbs! LOL Looks wonderful though! Thank you for sharing and letting us all live vicariously through you!
I’m guessing I DID gain a few pounds, Kim. I had a hard time avoiding the temptations.
