My boys are heading off for their first day of school today…3rd and 4th grade. What? They are growing up WAYYYY to fast.
I hope you all had an enjoyable, relaxing Labor Day weekend. We did. The highlight was taking in a movie (Inside Out) at the drive-in on Saturday night.
We got there early so we could get a good spot. and we brought our supper with us. Luke who is now in 3rd grade is on the left, and Nicholas, my fourth grader is on the right. We were pretty excited to figure out that the back seat tilted backwards. It was a super cozy spot for the boys. And bonus!…No mosquitoes that evening!
I definitely will be scrapbooking these pics.
Speaking of scrapbooking…
Today I am sharing some traditional scrapbook pages made with the contents of the August 2015 "Chalk It Up To Love" Paper Pumpkin kit. This layout probably wouldn't work for our drive-in movie excursion (LOL), but I'll find an occasion to put on this layout someday.
The vanilla layers are all envelopes from the kit! See?
And even though the black fringe piece in the kit doesn't stretch the whole length of the black frame piece, I covered up the right edge with a pink flower so no one (but you) would know.
Here are the pages and portions of the pages close up.
You'll notice in the list of extra supplies below that there is no Versamark ink pad listed. That is because the white ink pad that comes in the kit can act as a substitute. Just stamp your image using the white ink, sprinkle on the gold embossing powder, and heat with the heat tool. The white ink does not affect the look of the gold embossing.
Be sure to stamp and emboss the flower center images before punching them out with the circle punch.
I added pearls to the centers of single sequins for my "gold rimmed pearls."
Thanks for stopping by today! And happy first day of school to any of you experiencing that today as well.
