(Yippee! This is my first month participating in this Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop!)
The theme for this month is "Holiday Sneak Peek." So follow along and check out all the other blogs in the hop (see the list below) so you can see a great collection of stamped projects featuring new products that will be available to order from our 2015 Holiday catalog that begins on September 1st. On that date this catalog will be available to view online and the items inside will be available to purchase from my online store. In the meantime, hold tight and enjoy all the sneak peeks.
A stamp set that I absolutely fell deeply in love when I first saw this catalog is Wonderland (page 23). It's the perfect Christmas stamp set for those of us who live here in Minnesota. It reminds me of the north woods with the tall, thin pine images, the pine tree branch, and the antlers. This set also comes with a falling snowflakes stamp and two phrases: "Silent Night" and "All is calm, all is bright." So you really CAN make your Christmas cards JUST with this one set.
This is one of the cards my stampers will be making in my September Stamp Camp class. It features the "pillow top" technique introduced to me by my friend Cheryl Lee who found it on Brandy's Cards.
My measurements:
- Early Espresso card stock (4-1/4" x 11” scored in half at 5-1/2” and 3-3/4" x 2-1/4")
- Tip Top Taupe card stock (4” x 4” and 4" x 5-1/4")
- Very Vanilla card stock (3-1/2” x 2”)
- Wild Wasabi Seam Binding ribbon – about 14"
- 1/8" Gold Ribbon – about 3"
I've been in love with this background technique since learning about it back in June. Click here to see the stunning card my friend, Cheryl Lee gave me. I was so inspired after getting her card that I created this one below for one of my swap cards for Convention.
If you click here, you can find the step-by-step directions for creating this pillow top background.
Thanks for checking out my sneak peek card today. Have fun on the blog hop. And remember to stamp your art out! 🙂
