The new Occasions Catalog has a few stamp sets that are perfect for Valentine's Day. The Hey Valentine stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount) is a great one for making cute ones for the kiddos to bring to school.
This card shown in today's post is a little too elaborate for my 2nd or 3rd grader, though. I encourage you to go a bit simpler in your design if you are making Valentine's for the young ones that are going to tear through their bags looking for candy. LOL
To make this style card, start with a piece of Soft Sky cardstock that is 8-1/2" x 4-1/4". Fold it in half, and then fold the top flap in half again back over on itself to form a "z fold." For those of you who like to measure, you will score your cardstock at 2-1/8" and at 4-1/4".
The other cardstock/paper measurements are:
- Whisper White… 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and 4" x 3/4"
- Bermuda Bay…2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
- Soft Sky…2-1/2" Circle
- Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (free Sale-a-Bration item with a $50 order)…4" x 1" and 4" x 1-1/2"
I used Blendabilities to color the rhinestones and the heart image. And I used glue dots to secure the sequin trim. See the list at the bottom of this post for all the supplies I used in my card. They are linked to my online store so you can get even more details or make a purchase.

I have one more month on my 3 month Paper Pumpkin subscription. If I order another 3 months will they know not to duplicate January or should I wait until February to purchase my next three month subscription?
You can purchase the prepaids at any time, you just won’t be able to enter the code to redeem it until the last month on your current prepaid subscription ships to you. Good question, Sharon!
