Scrappin' Sunday was a pretty popular class last weekend…nineteen people making 30 sets of pages total. And here is what drew them in.
I think "punch art" is always a lure. And these rich colors infuenced by the Color Me Autumn designer paper are just yummy.
Do you see the green vines and stems coming out of the pumpkins? That card stock was cut using the "hi" framelit in the Label Card Thinlits collection! Cool, huh?
The pumpkins (just 5 punched ovals layered together) are "textured" from a background stamp in the For All Things stamp set. I stamped the ovals with coordinating ink which just deepened the the card stock color a bit.
Torn card stock gives the appearance of layers of earth.
And I just tucked the pumpkins slightly behind the torn layers.
Happy belated birthday to my oldest, Nicholas who we used to call Pumpkin!! (I'm guessing every October baby in this part of the world has that same "nickname".)
My little pumpkin isn't so little anymore, though. Yesterday he turned NINE! (Holy cow.)
