If a picture is worth a thousand words, than I'm going to be VERY wordy today.
Here's a card we made at Stamp Camp last month. It was a little putsy, but Stamp Camp isn't for the timid stamper. And although this card took some time and patience, it was a favorite. I personally LOVE the colors. The flowers are such a "yummy" pale yellow, they remind me of lemon meringue pie.
If you are interested in recreating this card, be sure to check out the visual supply list at the bottom of this post to see if there is anything you need to order.
To prevent the powder sticking where it shouldn't, rub your vellum with the embossing buddy.
Stamp flower images with VersaMark ink.
Emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.
Use a dauber to apply Classic ink to the back of each embossed flower.
Emboss this ink with Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder.
You can see a bit of shimmer from the back side showing through.
Punch out your flowers.
Punch some butterflies from Pistachio Pudding card stock, then sponge the edges with coordinating ink.
Wheel a pretty yet subtle design on a strip of Shimmery White card stock. (My strip is 1"x11".)
Cut it in half.
Sponge the edges with Pistachio Pudding ink.
Here's the layout of what my front and inside will look like. (I like to place my pieces where I want them, then take a digital photo. This way when I add the adhesives, I can look back on my photo to see where I thought they looked best.)
The front and inside pieces of Shimmery White card stock are each 5-1/4"x4". Trim each of the wheeled strips to 5-1/4" long.
Add adhesive to the back of each strip.
Wrap linen thread around the strips.
Tape the strips down, then add the flowers with Dimensionals. Be gentle though! The Dimensionals can remove the embossing and that won't look pretty.
OH! And before adding all the flowers, be sure to stamp your greeting. The Stamp-A-Ma-Jig stamp positioner is one of my best friends. I LOVE this tool.
Start adding all the flowers and butterflies.
Embellish with pearls and rhinestones.
And your card is complete!
