A NEW Stampin' Up! product called Blendabilities was one of the Sneak Peek items that demonstrators could order starting this morning. I already had one set – Cherry Cobbler. So of course, I ordered all the other sets available on the Preorder: Coastal Cabana, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive. In June after the new 2014-15 Catalog kicks off, there will be even more available. And everyone (not just demonstrators) will be able to order them. You are gonna LOVE them!
These exclusive alcohol-based marker sets, come in a 3-pack of light, medium and dark shades (of the same color), and provide your projects a more saturated look with blended colors. They create rich images and easily make everyone feel like an artist. Highlights and shading are easy to achieve so your projects are strikingly beautiful.
Here are some sample flower images I colored during Unite & Excite, the Stampin' Up! event where I obtained my early set of Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities. (I played around with a lobster image as well.)
You can see from the photo above, the set of three markers has the same color name but also is labeled either LIGHT, MEDIUM, or DARK. The one closest to the true color will vary within all the sets. But whichever Blendabilities you use, they will create wonderfully colored images that will coordinate with other products in those color (card stock, ribbons, ink pads, etc.).
Since I currently own JUST the Cherry Cobbler set, I was able to re-do the swatch of blended shades. (It's much smoother than the two other swatches below which I did in a rush at the Unite & Excite event when we were given a limited amount of time to play.) With a little patience, you can blend the shades very smoothly.
Do you also see the Pearls and Rhinestones? You can color them with these great markers! Yippee! AND… you can color on window/transparancy sheets, buttons, brads, etc. It's a fabulous perk!
Other Features:
- The Stampin' Up! rectangular barrel keeps your markers from rolling away!
- Flat storage helps to maintain the life of each marker.
- Each marker comes with a tip on each end: brush and fine.
- Marker tips are made of nylon, which is superior to polyester which can fray.
- Color coded caps.
One thing you'll want to keep in mind, though…it is highly recommended that you first stamp your image with the Momento Black ink pad which will also be available in our new catalog on June 2nd. The Momento pad is waterbased. So the images won't bleed when the alcohol-based markers come in contact with them.
We'll also have a few more colors available* including a Skin Tone Assortment (which I was able to play around with at the Unite & Excite event AND able to preorder!).
And we'll have a color lifting pen that will help with move the color to "correct mistakes" and "lift color" to give the images you color highlighted areas.
I can't wait to show you more with this new line of products!
Stamp Your Art Out! ~Rachel
*Other color assortments will include Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Smokey Slate and Wisteria Wonder.
Gorgeous samples! Thanks so much for sharing!
