A few years back, Stampin' Up! offered glittered chipboard "HO HO HO" letters (shown below) in their line of products.

Though it's retired and currently unavailable (unless you search Ebay or something – LOL), you could get our Glimmer Paper (available in Champagne, Red and Silver) and cut out letters from that to get this same look… Here's what I did to fancy up our bathroom for the holidays.

The "Merry Christmas" was die-cut using current product: "Merry" was cut with the Expression Thinlits Dies from our Holiday Catalog that ends on January 2nd. At this time I'm not sure if this product will continue to be made available. The letters that formed "Christmas" were die-cut with the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies. And of course to die-cut these, I used our infamous Big Shot tool.

I then decided I needed more red in my bathroom, so I added some hanging ornaments (thumbtacks, fishing line and ornaments). But I only had two kinds of red ornaments, so I added a little bling to one so I would have 3 different looks.
