It's so worth all the time that goes into making swap cards, because one comes back with so many great ideas!
Here are just a "sprinkling" of the ones I came back with from Founder's.
It's the little things that can really give a card that artistic touch! Cindy Fodor did it just right by adding a thin strip of Champagne Glimmer Paper and the Scallop Trim Border on the bottom. Did you also notice she used the new Rotary Attachment's Small Scallop Blade? Love it!
I wasn't much of a fan of Sahara Sand until I saw this tag by Lynsay Mahon. What a great ink color for sponging on Very Vanilla card stock! Lynsay also showed off her artistic talents by stamping this image from Spread the Joy (wood-mount or clear-mount) and watercoloring the inks with an Aqua Painter onto Watercolor Paper.
Lyssa Zwolanek also used Spread the Joy stamp set and Sahara Sand for her swap. (Great minds think alike.) And isn't is fun how she highlighted the words with light colored markers? I also think it's pretty clever that she off-set her Apothecary framelit die-cut layer from a coordinating stamp stamp image from Layered Labels (wood-mount or clear-mount).
The Six-Sided Sampler Bundle (wood-mount or clear-mount) is pretty popular and trendy this year. This card is very appealing to the eye. Deb Snyder did a great job with positioning, color and accenting. Amazing how just a little punched flower with rhinestone accent can bring a balance of color and weight to this design!
The sponge or dauber was Laura Barto's best friend when she made her swap cards. This is beautiful! And I'm impressed how she separated her top Labels Collection framelit die-cut layer into four parts to give the appearance of looking through a paned window!
This is one of the prettiest Christmas cards! Terri Gaines has a true talent – making an easy yet gorgeous card. I may have to do this one at an upcoming class. She came up with a great layout and used accents that are irresistable – the Tea Lace Paper Doilies, the Silver Glimmer paper, Large Rhinestones, and the Oval Accent Bigz die-cut layer embossed with the New Stylish Stripes embossing folder.
And look at this fun one made from Karen Duke. I loved it so much, I finally broke down and purchase the Dress Up framelits that everyone else and their mother owns already. LOL As a mother of 2 boys, I kept telling myself I didn't need it. But hello! There are so many cute cards out there on Pinterest using this die. A little side note… the skirt was made from a cupcake liner. Not sure where you can get a hold of this particular one, but how fun is that?! Crimped cupcake liners are perfect for making skirts on this framelit.
