Who says you can’t be
merry on holidays other than Christmas? So… I decided to use our new Expressions Thinlits on
a Halloween card.
A little tip for the thinlits: When die-cutting, place a
layer of wax paper between the card stock and the thinlits die. Then when
you’re done, you can separate the paper from the die much easier.
If you haven’t done so already, try embossing an
embellishment. It’s fun! For the button, I rolled an edge in my VersaMark ink
pad and then dipped it in embossing powder. Then I tapped off the excess
powder, held the button with a tweezers, and melted the powder with a heat tool.
Our gold foil sheets (new to the Holiday Catalog) are great as
a layer behind the Trick or Treat image. I punched it out using the same
punch as I used with the greeting, but I off-set it to give the greeting a layered look.
The inside layer is just big enough to write a short message
and signature. LOL (I LOVE making cards, but I struggle sometimes on the
perfect words to write on the inside. Making this space smaller is less
intimidating for me.)
And did you notice that great Washi Tape?! Washi Tape is an easy accessory to add to a
card or project – just tear off what you need and stick it on!
