One of the highlights of my Founder's Circle Retreat was going canyoneering on Day 2. We got the CD today, so I can show you pictures already of this great adventure.
Our group started at the top of a Yankee Doodle Canyon. And our first job was to get down a couple cliff-like sections right off the bat. Since I used to teach rapelling when I was younger (for a summer job), it didn't take me long to get in the swing of this part of the trek.
But it got a little more beyond my comfort zone when we had to walk through deep puddles of water! As you can imagine, this is when the jokes really starting flying.
This puddle was only waist deep, but there was one that went up to the armpits!
Here I am with my team – Julie Davison, Kay Kalthoff and Brenda Keenan.
I LOVED the beauty of the rocks!
I didn't realize we were on a rock with space underneath until I saw this photo!! Hahaha
I was a bit challenged on the way up and out. We decided to take a short cut and climb up a couple steep rocks on the way out, but my feet kept slipping. So I scraped and brused up my right knee a bit. After that, the rest of the climb was easy.
We sure felt awesome (and exhausted) when we were done.
I'd totally do it again!!!

Was SO nice to meet you! Congratulations again on earning Founders Circle 🙂
I feel the same way, Brenda! What a blast we had. 🙂
