There are fabulous new designer paper sets in the New 2013-14 Catalog. One of my favorites is called Soho Subway.

It's artsy, modern, eye-catching and works well with BOTH masculine and feminine designs. Thankfully it was something I could preorder before the new catalog's début last Friday. (LOVE those demonstrator perks!)

Here is a very simple card I made:

The really nice thing about this card (besides it being easy to make) is that it uses the designer paper VERY wisely. The letter image paper is 4"x2". You could get 18 from one of the two sheets with no waste. The subtle cube pattern paper is 4"x3". You could get 12 from one of the two sheets with no waste. And to cover the gap I used a thin strip of Early Espresso card stock between the two.

Do you also notice that the layer behind the Summer Starfruit oval layer is actually made from two punched shapes – the 1-3/4" Circle punch and the Decorative Label punch? Pretty cool huh?!
