I was able to play around this weekend with my "kit-in-the-mail" supplies from this month's Paper Pumpkin. And my creative juices were flowin'!

For those of you who need a refresher… My Paper Pumpkin is a fun box of creativity that comes to your mailbox each month. If you are new to crafting or don't have a plethora of supplies, Paper Pumpkin 'as is' is perfect for you. If you are an avid crafter and experienced, then… Paper Pumpkin (with my twist on it) is perfect for you. In other words, if you'd like to get a surprise box of crafting each month, get a subscription. I'll share variations (as you can see below) for each month's kit.

If you check out my 2/15/13 post, you'll get an idea of what it's about. I've also listed some FAQ's from Stampin' Up! below. But feel free to contact me if you want to sign up or learn more.

Here is what June's Paper Pumpkin kit contained – directions and supplies for making 4 of this card:

I made one of the cards Monochromatic (stuck the stickers over the Mustard and Primrose colors) and added a fun piece of designer window sheet to the inside.

One card I scored into 6 sections, cut into two parts (one larger than the other), and then assembled to make candle wraps for those cute battery-operated tea lights.

Here's a fun one!… I made one of the cards into the top flap of a box! First I made a box from a sheet of 8.5" x 11" card stock, then I added an extra score line to the card and wrapped and attached it to the back and bottom of the box. The open hexagons in the card show hints of the beautiful swallowtail butterfly stamp image. And then when you open it up…. ta da! It's so large, it almost flies out at you!

Start with a sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" card stock. Score along each long edge at 1-1/2" and at 3/8". Rotate and score (parallel with a shorter edge) at 1-1/8", 5-3/8", 6-1/2", 10-3/4". Trim as shown above (you'll be removing the excess card stock that would otherwise be attached to the flap and you'll be trimming into a few score lines so you can overlap sections and attach to create the box base). Stamp if you wish to decorate. Then fold along score lines and bring together and secure with Sticky Strip adhesive.

One last fun project i made using 2 of the cards (keep in mind I get TWO Paper Pumpkins each month because I love it so much) was this 12×12 scrapbook spread. SO FUN!!! Those hexagons float my boat.

I hope what I have created has inspired you.
