If you've never been on one, a crafting retreat is one of THE best ways to catch up on your scrapbooking and other crafting projects. I host 2-3 of these each year, and it's amazing how much we all get done. I just returned from a retreat this past weekend and was able to finish 23 pages (one of my higher totals). But there were several ladies that cranked out many more than that! We showed up on Thursday, stayed through Sunday but STILL felt like we needed 'just one more day.' Not only are we away from the distractions of home, but we get inspired by all the other creating going on around us. I highly recommend attending one sometime. Sharing a weekend with a bunch of fellow women is very uplifting and theraputic.

This was one of my favorite sets of pages I completed…

I used a couple retired stamp sets, but I'm hoping the layout will give some inspiration. I actually created these pages a year or so ago for my scrapbooking clubs, so all I had to do at this year's retreat is move around a couple embellishments, add matted photos, add journaling, stamp the "Go Team" image and stick on a couple extra rhinestones. These are photos of my oldest son, Nicholas and his baseball team he was on last spring.

So glad all these lovely ladies could join me this year – Top Row: Beth F., Alissa H., Sue B., Dawn B., Jan W., Lisa N., Sher V., Katie R., Jennifer G., Cassie M., Vicki B., Julie W., and Shannon N. Bottom Row: Margo T., Me, Michelle N., and Renee B. (Julie H. is not pictured. She wasn't feeling well at the time.)

We lucked out on weather, too, as you can tell in our outdoor group photos with no winter gear!
